THALES is well equipped for this research with state-of-the-art 1700 m2 clean-room facilities and 13000 m2 laboratory space. Over 300 highly skilled staff have access at TRT to all necessary processing equipment, specific test benches and are supported by in-house analysis laboratories.

Thales R&T is industrial case-studies provider in the Thales project. Its activities based on multifunctional surfaces, exhibiting both superhydrophobic and antireflecting behaviors, need fast, reliable and non-destructive characterization methods to get higher TRL and accelerate the technological transfer to Thales entities.
